Bioguard Candida Albicans Ag Test
Candida albicans is a yeast that causes opportunistic infections. Secondary infections often occurs if the bird is immunocompromised. It is transmitted through adult birds feeding young birds, contaminated environment or water, and artificial feeding.Candida albicans will cause sour crop or crop infection in most birds. Common clinical symptoms include lethargy, fluffy feathers, loss of appetite, and delayed emptying of the crop of birds.
