Coxiprol Coccidiosis Treatment for Poultry
Coxiprol is an anticoccidial medication containing amprolium, commonly used within poultry management programs relating to coccidiosis and intestinal protozoal disease in poultry systems.
Coccidiosis is one of the most common parasitic diseases affecting poultry and is caused by Eimeria species that damage the intestinal tract. Disease severity can vary depending on parasite burden, age, environmental contamination, stocking density, stress levels, and overall flock management practices.
Clinical signs commonly associated with coccidiosis may include:
- Bloody droppings
- Weight loss
- Reduced growth
- Poor feed conversion
- Lethargy
- Reduced appetite
- Increased mortality in severe outbreaks
- Reduced flock performance
Good litter management, environmental hygiene, quarantine procedures, biosecurity practices, and routine parasite monitoring all play important roles in broader poultry health and parasite management programs.
Available in 250ml and 1L bottles.
