Help Fund a Free Bird Health Consultation for Someone in Need

Support accessible bird health care across New Zealand by contributing to our Pay It Forward programme. Your donation helps fund a free avian telemedicine consultation for a bird owner who may otherwise be unable to access professional bird health guidance for their feathered companion.

Nobody wants financial hardship to be the reason someone cannot seek help for their bird. Through this programme, donated consultations are made available to owners genuinely needing support, allowing them to access practical, evidence-based avian guidance from experienced professionals.

These consultations are completed online through Zoom and allow bird owners to speak directly with Sam, our avian veterinarian, alongside Jemma, our avian rehabilitation and bird health consultant. We work with a wide range of species including parrots, chickens, ducks, pigeons, canaries, aviary birds, and backyard poultry.

Consultations may cover general bird health concerns, husbandry, nutrition, behaviour, parasite management, supportive care, biosecurity, environmental management, flock health, and preventative care planning.

Every contribution helps us continue improving access to avian support for bird owners throughout New Zealand.

How it Works

Add a donation to our Pay It Forward Veterinary Telemedicine Consultation initiative. For every $65 raised, we open four free Tele-free consultation slots. Each free slot remains available until it is booked by someone who genuinely needs access to care.
