F10 SC Veterinary Disinfectant is a concentrated veterinary disinfectant commonly used within avian, veterinary, wildlife rehabilitation, and poultry management environments. F10 SC is widely recognised for its broad-spectrum activity and is commonly incorporated into routine hygiene, cleaning, and biosecurity protocols.

F10 SC is active against a wide range of microorganisms including:

  • Bacteria
  • Viruses
  • Fungi
  • Spores

It is also commonly discussed within broader environmental hygiene and biosecurity management relating to protozoal organisms such as cryptosporidium, coccidia, and giardia.

Information

Active: PHMB and Benzalkonium Chloride.

Withholds: meat 10 days, eggs 5 days.

Directions

  • Remove any dirt from the surfaces so they are visibly clean (pre-clean to optimise the disinfection process)
  • Add the required amount of F10®SC to 1 litre of water - i.e. to create a dilution rate of 1:250 add 4ml*
  • Note - the 5 litre bottle can be bought with a 4ml dosing pump for accurate measurement. Smaller bottles include a measuring well, which can be used to measure the correct amount
  • Spray or wash the surfaces/object using the solution
  • Leave to air dry - no need to rinse or wipe off the F10® solution

* 1:250 is recommended for efficiency against most pathogens. If more resistant viruses are known to be present, use at 1:100 (10ml/litre). For control of protozoal oocysts use at 1:100 (10ml/litre). For general disinfection use at 1:500 (2ml/litre).
