- Aviverm is one of the more commonly available wormers on the market. You can either directly dose it or add it to your chicken's water source. For the treatment of Roundworms only.

Direct dose: Dose 0.1ml of aviverm per 1kg of live weight. (If your bird is 2.5kg, you will need .25ml of aviverm) Add this into a 1ml syringe and top up with water to dilute the Aviverm. Syringe this down the throat using the method in the linked video.

Or

Pull up the dose and add it to a piece of bread or mince and roll into a ball. Pop this in their mouth using the piling technique in the video.

In water dose: Simply add to your chooks drinking water at a rate of 1 mls per 9 kgs of body weight. As Aviverm may taste bitter to your chooks taste buds, try adding some Manuka honey or Cranberry juice to the treated water to cover up the bitter taste.

- Bomatake C Off label use. Direct oral dose 0.1ml per kg of live weight for 3 day in a row, repeat after 2 weeks with another 3 days. This will treat for roundworm and tapeworm. 

- Droncit tablets Off label use. Dose 1/4 of a tablet per kg of live weight. Repeat treatment 8 weeks later. Effective against tapeworm.

- Flubenol contains flubendazole, a broad-spectrum anthelmintic with high efficacy against against roundworm and tapeworm. To treat your flock, mix the powder thoroughly into the feed and feed it out for seven consecutive days. It needs to be thoroughly mixed through the pellets or crumble, not just sprinkle on top. We highly recommend following this worming method up with a FEC as it can be difficult to ensure dose.

Coccidiosis is a common parasitic disease in poultry caused by Eimeria protozoa, which damages the intestinal lining and can lead to bloody diarrhea, lethargy, weight loss, and high mortality if untreated. It spreads through contaminated droppings, water, and bedding, particularly in warm, damp conditions.

- Coxiprol, an amprolium-based medication, is an effective treatment for coccidiosis in poultry. It can be administered as a spot treatment, we recommend a medium dose for 3 to 5 days, ensuring it is the only water source during this period for proper intake. 

- Baycox, a toltrazuril-based medication, is highly effective against all major species of coccidia in poultry. It is typically given as a short course in the drinking water, with treatment lasting 2 days. Ensure it is the sole water source during this time so birds receive the full therapeutic dose.
